New Welding and Fixturing Technology Expands Dane’s Manufacturing Capabilities

Dane Manufacturing has expanded its welding capabilities to give customers greater flexibility across materials, part geometries and production requirements. New ESAB welding systems and modular Bluco fixturing tables strengthen our ability to deliver consistent, repeatable welded assemblies while reducing setup time and supporting faster production.

Expanding our welding department positions us for the growth of our customers. We’ve added four new ESAB Warrior EDGE welding machines and two ESAB Rebel 205 AC/DC TIG machines. The Warrior EDGE machines can weld mild steel, stainless steel and aluminum, and provide pulse GMAW capability. The Rebel TIG machines provide AC capability for aluminum and DC TIG capability for mild steel and stainless steel.

One of the most significant additions is increased access to pulse welding. Expanding on our previous pulse GMAW capability for mild steel, the new ESAB equipment allows welders to use pulse to achieve higher travel speeds while reducing burn-through and spatter, which is particularly important when working with thinner materials. The new welding equipment also allows for job settings to be saved and locked into the machines. Welders can recall previously established settings rather than having to develop them again, reducing setup time and helping produce the same welding results from one run to the next.

Along with the new welding equipment, Dane added additional Bluco fixturing tables, providing greater flexibility in how parts can be fixtured for welding. Rather than maintaining a dedicated fixture for every application, Bluco setups can be assembled, taken apart and reconfigured for different parts.

The versatility of the Bluco fixtures also eliminates the need to reserve storage space for large, specialty fixtures. With proper setup, the Bluco tables offer tighter tolerances and are flexible enough to allow for a wide variety of part setups.

Our growing partnership with Bluco will also offer additional support as we expand the use of their systems. Bluco can assist with fixture development using our part drawings to create detailed setups for our customers’ needs.

Together, these investments strengthen Dane’s ability to deliver high-quality welded assemblies with greater consistency, flexibility and efficiency. Whether supporting repeat production runs or complex fabrication projects, the new equipment expands our capacity to meet customer requirements while maintaining the quality and reliability expected from Dane.
