Dane Manufacturing Honored a Winner of the USA Today Top Workplaces 2026 Award

We are proud to announce that Dane Manufacturing has been recognized by USA Today as a 2026 Top Workplace. This past fall, Dane Manufacturing provided employees with designated time, resources and the choice to take an anonymous employee engagement survey. The response to the survey was strong, and over 70% of our workforce provided their valuable perspectives and feedback.

Participants are presented with a series of questions across a number of categories and are prompted to respond based on how strongly they agree or disagree with the statement. This process measures how employees experience the company, giving them an opportunity to help shape the way their workplace operates.

Dane puts a unique spin on company culture, emphasizing CEO Troy Berg’s “Employee’s First” philosophy. The mentality of putting employees first in the workplace entails heavy investment in the construction and refinement of the work environment. Dane has built tailored training programs to meet employees’ specific needs, providing them with a multitude of opportunities to grow and make an impact on the company. This enables those who work for us to feel appreciated and empowered. We lead an environment that makes people feel valued, embracing their passion to deliver timely, quality service. In fact, one of the strongest responses in the survey’s results was that Dane operates by strong values.

But, despite the great honor, being recognized as a 2026 Top Workplace isn’t the end of the road.

With the feedback we receive from the survey, we gather a sense of understanding for what still has room for improvement. “We exceeded the standard in all but one category,” said Jennifer Petree, Vice President of Human Resources at Dane Manufacturing. “The executive team uses this information to make us more competitive and strategic as a workforce.” When the survey results come in, the executives at Dane take everything into careful consideration. As improvement policies are enforced, our strategic plan is monitored quarterly to check for actual improvement. If the improvement we’re looking for isn’t there, we revise our plan.

The results from this year’s survey told executives at Dane that employees wanted to hear more frequent updates about company development. As of this year, the Human Resources department has put together what we call Town Hall Meetings: each quarter, all employees are assembled to receive updates on the latest happenings within the company. At Dane, we do our best to ensure that each of our employees is seen and informed.

Ultimately, the process is enriching to our company culture. “Participating in the survey and Top Workplaces gives us actionable feedback from our team,” said Petree. “It validates what we do well. We’re proud to receive this honor, and we’re excited to see where it will take us.”
