Waunakee, WI, 6/11/2025 – Dane Manufacturing is excited to announce the opening of Dane Academy – an internally located learning space provided for employees to enrich both their technical and professional skills. Dane sincerely believes that taking care of our employees yields exponential benefits company wide and wants to invest in their employees’ future. The environment that Dane Academy offers will significantly help in the development of Dane’s employees both on the job as well as in their own life.
The planning and building of Dane Academy happened very quickly. CEO and President Troy Berg had a vision for the space and was so emphatic on taking the next steps involved that he quickly gathered a team and took action. Jennifer Petree, Vice President of Human Resources at Dane Manufacturing said, “Once we had a common vision, things moved very quickly. Within a few days, walls started coming down and things started happening”. The strong initiative lead by the CEO emphasizes the employee first philosophy employed by the executive team at Dane.
The strategic vision for Dane Academy is to host a variety of optional and required training opportunities that will begin this year. Training options will include technical skill including blueprint reading and machine programming as well as personal development opportunities such as leadership, communication and financial literacy. The company already hosts English as a Second Language classes (ESL) and those now have a designated space in Dane Academy as well. The long-term goal is to have a plethora of opportunities for current employees to take advantage of but also utilize this learning space as a tool for onboarding. New employees, as well as existing employees in a new position, will have job specific training in Dane Academy to strengthen their skills for the job. Combining Dane Academy with onboarding will make the orientation process remarkably more efficient and effective. The future is exciting and its endless possibilities for impact really highlight how important Dane Academy is for the entire company.
